This neighborhood pizza joint serves up authentic Italian dishes alongside a lengthy wine and beer list. Perfect for families, large groups or couples, we suggest you swing by during happy hour to take advantage of their great food and drink deals. Deals are offered five out of seven days of the week, but our favorite day to swing by is Tuesday, when they offer 2-for-1 slices of pizza until 9 p.m.

Ember’s Ski Lodge
This ski lodge-inspired bar and restaurant is MAFIAoZA’s newest neighbor on the block. Step inside and let yourself be transported to a cozy gathering place in a mountain town. While we love to grab a seat at the bar and indulge in the creative cocktails, the menu, with an approachable price point, has plenty to offer.

The team behind this burger restaurant took an American staple and added an updated twist. Crafted with the highest-quality beef and thoughtful ingredient pairings, the burgers are unbeatable. In addition to their tasty burgers, fries and appetizers, Burger Up has an inviting interior characterized by the wooden community tables. For happy hour, be sure to try the fried pickles.

Located just minutes from downtown, Eighth Avenue is home to antique stores, Zanie’s, cafes and restaurants and musician hangouts. Backing up to Eighth Avenue is the Melrose neighborhood, which preserves the history of the area, while welcoming new establishments. Since these neighborhoods are in such close proximity, we lumped them together.
Housed in Nashville’s historic Melrose Theatre, Sinema incorporates the edge and elegance of music and movies into their food and cocktails. Take the grand stairs up to The Lounge and become immersed in a rock-‘n-roll-themed space. Grab a cocktail and sink into one of the many seating areas, gather around a community table or snag a seat at the custom bar.

This local favorite is best known for its extensive list of craft beers and elevated bar food. We find M.L. Rose to be a top spot for catching a sports game and sipping down a cold one. Many people claim Eastland Cafe’s happy hour to be the best in town and we must agree that it is pretty spectacular. The lively atmosphere makes this the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and share a few small plates with friends, family or co-workers. Thankfully, Eastland Cafe offers happy hour six days a week.

Located amongst other MStreet eateries, this sushi spot is housed on McGavock Street, one block off Broadway. The contemporary decor enhances the dining experience, but for a true glimpse of Nashville, step onto the rooftop dining and bar area. The views of downtown are unbeatable and it welcomes a cool breeze on hot summer nights.

With one of the most captivating interiors and menus of any restaurant we have visited, Chauhan Ale & Masala House promises a memorable experience. Dinner and lunch are served daily with brunch offerings on Sundays. If you cannot snag a reservation, stop by for happy hour Monday through Thursday.

This is not your typical taco spot. The menu includes Mexican-inspired dishes and innovative margaritas. If you are lucky, you can take advantage of the outdoor patio or walk-up bar, but all sections of the restaurant embody its lively atmosphere. As a part of Saint Anejo’s happy hour, on Wednesdays only, patrons are treated to half-price tacos.

There are a handful of watering holes, but more than that, there are family-friendly spots that allow you to sip a cocktail with the kids in tow.
Goozy Dessert Bar and Café
Combining gourmet sweet and savory creations, with artisanal cocktails, Goozy fits the bill for family-friendly joints. Your kiddos will be more than satisfied as they dig into a gooey grilled cheese or sinful dessert and you can relax as you enjoy drink specials. If you are looking to order something not on the happy hour list, we must recommend The Dom of Greyhounds.

Green Hills Grille
Newly re-opened after a lengthy hiatus, this much beloved Green Hills establishment is serving up some classic favorites and some new twists. A robust drink menu includes a variety of beer and wine selections as well as some playfully named and highly creative cocktails — the Abbott Martin Manhattan, Mary the Mule! and Shades of Grey, for example.

It is the perfect spot to grab a drink before seeing a movie or to enjoy a hearty meal after a long day of shopping. 312 Pizza Company
Bringing a taste of Chicago to the area, 312 Pizza Company specializes in deep-dish pizzas. If deep dish isn’t your style, go for the thin-crust pizza, bar snacks, pastas or sandwiches. Be warned that the deep-dish pizza does require a wait, so order a beer and soak in the lively atmosphere and watch locals stroll the streets.

This neighborhood bistro has held court on the streets of Germantown for more than 10 years. The fresh cuisine never disappoints and the intimate environment makes it hard to leave. You might remember this spot as Zumi, but in the last year the restaurant’s concept and name have changed to celebrate American/Japanese fusion through a menu with sushi, burgers, small plates and milk shakes. Lucky Belly’s diverse offerings ensure there is something for every taste. During happy hour, take a chance with their cocktails.

South of Broadway, a pocket neighborhood near downtown, is characterized not only by top attractions for tourists and locals, but also upscale eateries that are a far cry from Broadway’s honky-tonks. This area is rapidly developing and new eateries are popping up beside well-known, well-loved places in the neighborhood.
Etch’s chef, Deb Paquette, never fails to bring us delectable dishes that are as delicious as they are eye-catching. No matter the day of the week, Etch is always full of locals taking advantage of the matchless happy hour deals, but hopefully you can catch a seat at the bar. We must strongly, strongly recommend you order the cauliflower. If you are disappointed, call us and we will clean the plate for you.

The Southern Steak & Oyster
We can think of a long list of downsides to not living on the beach, and not having easy access to fresh oysters is at the top. Thankfully, The Southern Steak & Oyster has some of the best oysters in town and their happy hour deals allow you to treat yourself to fresh oysters at a great price point. Snack on oysters and fried green tomatoes while sipping on discounted drinks. During the warmer months, we love to grab a seat outside.

The Nations is also a walkable neighborhood with amble opportunities for recreation and dining. Try these neighborhood joints and see for yourself.
The Local Taco
Tex-Mex meets Southern at this Sylvan Park restaurant. For us, it is hard to resist a margarita of any style and we often find ourselves craving The Local Taco’s house margarita. Their tacos range from the Mexican-inspired tequila lime chicken to the Southern-style local BBQ and Southern fried. If you are looking for something different, try their selections of salads.
