Embers Ski Lodge has been making steady progress in 12 South. The project has been pretty mysterious until about a month ago, but they plan to open their doors the week of April 13th. The new bar concept is from local restaurateurs Lars Kopperud and Mike Dolan, who own and operate Mafiaoza’s, along with managing partner Matt Buttel, who previously served as the opening General Manager at Pinewood Social.
If you haven’t heard about Embers Ski Lodge yet, it’s definitely a fresh idea. According to the release, Embers Ski Lodge was inspired by the Ajax lift at Aspen Mountain and a spring skiing deck party at Val D’lsere. They plan to bring the warmth and camaraderie of a real ski lodge to 12 South Restaurants. We’re not sure what to expect at this point, but we have high hopes.
Embers Ski Lodge will focus on specialty cocktails created by cocktail expert Gary Hayward. They claim to have the largest selection of whiskey in Nashville, so whiskey lovers may have a new favorite hangout. They’ll also have a rotating seasonal food menu.
Embers Ski Lodge is located at 2410 12th Avenue South next to Mafiaoza’s in 12 South. Hours, menus, and other information haven’t been released yet.
